PUBLIC NOTICE PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 8 OF ITALIAN LEGISLATIVE DECREE 194/2005 FOR INFORMATION AND CONSULTATION ON THE PROPOSED 2023-2028 ACTION PLAN REGARDING ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL NOISE.

PROPOSED ACTION PLAN 2023-2028

Italian Legislative Decree 194/2005 “Implementation of Directive 2002/49/EC relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise” places an obligation on companies and bodies operating public transport services, or related infrastructure, to draw up noise mapping and action plans for major roads.

The Action Plan identifies noise pollution problems, their impact, and the actions and measures that must be implemented to control environmental noise pollution, starting with the analyses already carried out in the Noise Mapping, which assesses the noise levels generated by motorway infrastructure.

In compliance with the requirements of Article 8 of Italian Legislative Decree 194/2005, paragraphs 1, 2 and 3, regarding information and public consultation on Action Plans, Autostrada dei Fiori S.p.A. publishes the Proposed Action Plan for the A6 Turin-Savona stretch Code RD_IT_0016_002 on its institutional website, and also informs the public by means of notices in daily newspapers.

From 24/05/2024 for 45 consecutive days, anyone may submit written comments and statements using the following methods:

  • Registered mail with return receipt addressed to the Technical Department at ““Via della Repubblica, 46 18100 Imperia”, indicating on the envelope the following wording; “Action Plan 2023-2028. Observations pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 194/2005”.
  • PEC (certified e-mail) at the following address: direzione.tecnica@pec.autostradadeifiori.it

The deadline for receiving proposals and comments from citizens is 08/07/2024 (inclusive).

The comments received will be evaluated for the purpose of drafting the final version of the Action Plan.

Pursuant to Article 4(8) of the same Decree, Action Plans recognise and update the Noise Containment and Abatement Plans drawn up pursuant to Decree of the Ministry for the Environment of 29/11/2000, which the undersigned Company sent to the competent authorities and the first draft of which (relating to the period from 11 March 2011 to 1 January 2014) was approved by Decree of the Ministry for the Environment 2011-0000040 of 11/3/2011.

On 06/07/2023, Autostrada dei Fiori sent to the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Energy Safety, at its request, an update of the Noise Abatement Plan for the entire motorway infrastructure, approved with Decree no. 296 of 15/09/2023.

The Communication Report can be consulted on this page. In addition to summarising the fundamental steps of the project leading to the definition of the Abatement Plan measures, the data provided by the Operator to the competent administrations, and approval aspects, it reports on the status of implementation of the Plan and the mitigation measures planned for the period 2023-2028; annexed to this report are tables representing, with various symbols, the mitigation measures envisaged by the Action Plan in the period 2023-2028, the mitigation measures carried out in previous Action Plans, and mitigation measures being planned or carried out.

Pursuant to Article 3(6) of the aforementioned decree, having drawn up and forwarded to the competent bodies the updated Noise Mapping 2021 for the A6 Turin-Savona motorway stretch in June 2022, in order to facilitate its disclosure to the public, as required by Article 9 of Directive 2002/49/EC, Autostrada dei Fiori S.p.A. publishes the same document on its website.
